Clones and light

Hi,

I got some clones from a friend and I was wondering how much light should they get?
They've been in my AG for two days, I gave them some light this morning but the leafs are now all sagging and they're not looking good.
Maybe the light is too close? I only have the AG hood right now and it's about 5inch from the plants.

I would really appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Keep 24 hours of light on them. since you cloned them they need to have all the light they can to build that root system. when you cut the clones did you split the bottom? splitting the bottom and scraping the top layer of skin at the bottom of your clone will expose more of the cambium layer (this is the only place new roots develope). doing these 2 things will slow down the root development by a couple days but you will have much much more healthy roots. and the light shouldnt cause your clones to droop. make sure they are gettin enough water/oxygen. what kind of rooting hormone did you use?

No I didn't scrap or split the bottom.
I used Plant-prod Stim-Root, in powder form.
I'll add an air stone in the tank, maybe that will help.
I used the foam(or something like that) that comes with the AG, since I didn't have anything else. Maybe they're not getting enough water with those?

Thanks

Like I was told, more leaves more light intake. Once you start cutting on a plant you slow it down because it has to take time to repair that spot then start back to growing.

Great thanks.

How long do I need to keep the lights on 24/24? Until I have a good amount of roots, then I can switch to 8/16?

Thanks

Nah keep it 24 until you go into flowering. research has shown that they veg faster under 24hr light.
