Is it safe to put clones/clippings in the fridge with the ends submerged in about an inch of neutral water???
Also....
Is it a must to have rooting gel before planting clones, or is it possible for the to root without it?

Clippings need warmth to root. No, you do not need rooting gel or powder. I use a 4 dollar bottle of rooting powder from our local hardware store which works just as well as my
25 dollar bottle of clonex. So, really, there is no reason not to use a rooting compound.

I use a bubbler I got on ebay for about 25 bux.
Came with a small bottle of clone solution.
100% kinda thing.
Feathery roots in 6/10 days.

Well I used it the first time with 4 out of 6 surviving.
I've never tried without the gel tho. I have a cloning kit but I just don't have the gel/powder with me so i just planted them. In the little cubes.
Thanks for you help!
