clone size

Just curious as to what size clones people like to take.
I've seen people take both, smaller cuttings, and cuttings with 4 or 5 nodes.
I usually take smaller cuttings, and have good success rates. That is mostly cause I'm trying to get as many as soon as possible .. lol
Got a cpl mother's that are already mature that I could take some pretty big cuttings from.
From your experiences, what are the pros and cons of smaller vs larger cuttings.
Thanks ahead for the input folks.

Must have posted in wrong forum. lol
Just noticed, that was my 420 post too. where's my bowl. I'm go.na have to tie a string to that bitch lol

What method are you using? clone machine ect... Indica/sativa... height requirements? longer indica cuttings will save time in veg time. Sativa can be much shorter. you might want more than one indica mother

gonna put cuttings in rockwool set in a tray of perilite, then transplant into baskets in a flood n drain set-up.
The mothers are pure indica and indica dom.
Height isn't really an issue, as I do light lst and sometimes supercrop.

All personal preference....I like to clone bottoms I am pruning if the space is full....and tops if the space needs to be filled in...peace.

Look into the "mega garden" for veg only. i like them cause they are the same drain method and put them on a shelf with t-5 flo. it took me a while to get there... just don't take a clone that will kill your mother

BUMP...
Come on people, I got some lovely ladies just waiting to make babies..
I know how to do cuttings, been having great success. I just wanna know how big of cuttings I can take with a reasonable amount of success.
I'm thinking it woukd have a lot to do with the size of cutting at cut site, so as not to damage mother. Or would she just heal up.
That's the kind of info I need some input on.
Thanx

I never take more than 30% off a plant at once, then let it recover till new growth is adequate........I think bigger clones are better simply cause I use rapid rooters and little ones have to balance in the big hole..........girth I mean........I've seen spinldy bottoms with air buds root just as fast as a 6 node top in veg.....take small ones if you need time, take big ones to save time....veg time that is.
