Clone Size Vs. Normal Plants

Hey,

First, I'd like to say I'm sorry if this has been covered already, but I couldn't find it.

So, after a bit of reading I've seen that the rule of thumb is, you need 100 watts per a plant, I'll be using good ol' HPS for flowering. My question is do clones get to be around the same size as the mother plants, after time? Do they need 100 watts as well while flowering? Also, when you cut them and put them under a fluorescent bulb, how many watts should that bulb be?

Any answers or critiques would be great, Thank you!

No idea how many watts per plant.
but a t-5 or a t8 bulb will work.

yes they will get as big as a mother after time.

Keep reading lad

a clone will pretty much grow as big as you let it, same with a mother plant. so your question is kinda...hard to answer as marijuanna is a photperiod plant and will grow as long as conditions that allow it to grow are met. I.e pot size and right hours of light + enough light. there really is no "set size"

these people you see on here with 15 foot bushes im sure spent quite a bit of time vegging these plants indoor or in a green house with suplimental lighting before spring planting season as most Mj strains will not grow that big in the 1.5-2 month vegatative window most of us have for outdoor crops.

my 2¢

@Hemlock Thanks, I'm gonna take a look into those for the clones and mothers!

@Bozo Thanks, It looks like a great read, should help alot

@RetiredMatTheBrute Thank you as well, That was pretty much what I was asking if they get the same size if they're allowed to. Does pot size matter a lot? Obviously, I wouldn't be sticking them into tiny pots, but is bigger always better? I've been reading and most people use a 5 gal pot for indoor regular use, I think that's what I will be getting.

the style of grow has a lot to do with dictating pot size, when i first started out i ran a high-density micro-SOG inside a small cab and when i was at full capacity i ran 55x 1liter 'pots' under a 400CMH in a SuperSun II air-cooled hood.

...and here's a couple pics of some i grew in the 2liter pots i moved up to when dealing with 55 plants become more of a pain in my ass then i was willing to suffer.

anyway, i've since simplified even further and i'm now growing 11 plants in 6liter coco hempys around a barebulb 600HPS and my yields have never been better and my workload has never been lighter, ...i am VERY happy with the progress of my grow.

...so your pot size is determined by your grow style and the number of plants you plan on running and what your goal, per plant is, ...then you just keep tweaking your style, dialing it in and constantly honing your consistency until you hit your target, ...then you set yourself a new target, lol.

peace, bozo
