Clone Problems...

I started taking clones about a 3 weeks ago and took about 5-6clones/session over a two week time span (just due to time restraints and other reasons)... ended up with 20 cuttings... my problem is that after the clones have reached about 2 weeks of growth the bottom leaves start to turn yellow and after about a week of that they fall off leaving only the growth tip and a single node remaining... I have no clue as to why they are doing this, just tryin to bounce some ideas off somebody, figured this would be a good place... the oldest 2 clones have roots that span almost 4" now and would be ready to transplant if they looked healthy but i'm afraid that if i take them out of the clone box they will wilt and die... they have been in the clone box sitting on 2" of perlite the entire time, could they be too wet?? how long do they have to be in the propagation kit for, just a few days? sorry i cant get pics.. dont have a digital camera and i dont need others knowing about the grow

First do you know how to clone? There are problems that can develope if it is not done right. Getting bubbles in the stems, the tools you use must be sterile, I keep mine in humidity domes for only about 10 days. Do you know how to trim the leaves? Go to FAQ and click on cloning. There are lots of methods and they include pics.

i know how to do the actual cloning... i think, i cloned into rockwool, used a rooting hormone, used a sterile x-acto-knife blade, used boiled water (room temp of course) but my water did have some of the 'super-thrive' stuff in it, and i used it to mist the clones, maybe it cant be used to foilar feed and its burning my leaves, i'm not sure, i'll check out the growguide tho, thx for the input...
