Clone Prob Help Advice

cut 7 new fems 6 days and no root system at all. They are still alive and looking great sitting in the dome with 100% humidity. Plant the babies were cut from was at least 3 or 4 weeks into flower. Had to take them off because friend could no longer take care of plant. Did not use gel or powder, I have them in the little gel cups that are made for cloning, just cut and pop right into the gel cup. Why do I have no roots at all? Is it because they were cut so far into flowering.

6 days is not a long time. Typically it takes a week or two for them to start showing roots. If they look healthy then you are on the right track.

Cloud9 ...Did u just cut the bottom at an angle because you get better results when you abraise the sides with a sterile razor.....?

Both the above comments are right on! It can easily take two weeks for roots to start. They look healthy, don't fear!

They usually take awhile to form roots when taken during flower. I use this now http://www.super-grow.biz/IAA.jsp I dissolve it and throw cuttings in there for an hour or two then it's off to the cloner no prob ever. Hope this helps!!

mine can take up to 3 weeks to root out.

I clone in 2" x 2" x 3"h rockwool cubes I cut from slab and I use a #2 powdered rooting agent for semi-hardwood trees. I usually have roots in 5-7 days. I have found that if you are cloning from a immature seed plant the roots will mainly go straight down, but if you are cloning from a mature cloned mother plant the clone roots will grow more through the sides of the rockwool than through the bottom.
