Clone outside/make sure they are female?

So is there a way to start a plant outside take a couple clones off of it then put it into flower to make sure it is a mother plant? Will I have enough time outside to do this? I would start them inside but I don't have the means for this so any suggestions would be great!

right now outside daylight hours are good for flowering. in a few weeks they will start to get more on the vegatative side, you can start a plant and just put a trash barel over it after 12 hours of light to keep it flowering to determine sex, then once you find out sex just leave the barrel off it and it will revert back to veg and you can take your clones.
