Clone Machine Under $20

Well just want to show my home made clone machine. Materials. A 2.5gallon reservoir from my garage. A cake plastic box from my last birthday. A two outlets Air pump $16 from the local pet shop and two air stones whit hose for $4. And the most important... A lot of imagination! First i cover the reservoir whit a black bag and hold whit a simple tape. Black Paint is a good option. Roots need darknes to grow. Next make some holes to the cake box floor to put the clones, make some holes to the cap to let them breath. And thats is Enjoy. saludos!

Thats very fast!

Really fast!!! maybe for the air pump is designed for a 20gl reservoir i use a 2gl whit two airstones and add 4ml of super plant tonic from BMO to the water. Its my fist clone machine so really happy for the results. saludos!

wouldnt it be better to have no holes in the dome? to build humidity which is how they feed until they grow roots?

well here is a hot place 30c to 34c at day, 20c to 24 at night this and the light make the dome too humidity and this make clone die (i try before) . So holes make clones breath. To keep the humidity i spray 3 times a day whit water the first 3 days. Make your own system will be great tool for your garden. Saludos.

Temps are warms in the room from 24'c to 29'c no idea about water temp sorry. Saludos!

hmm nice! that is a good sign for me dont want to worry about fungas or nats but in the time frame it takes to root either of those shouldnt have time to establish them selves

Hi do you keep the stems submerged in the water? and do you use any rooting gel or powder?

hey Costagrow...was wondering if you added any nutes to the water before you put your cuts in? if so how much?

i'm gonna build one of these next week, been looking at a pump and found one that comes with 2 free 6" airstones and the tubing. no reason why this couldn't be applied on a bigger scale to transplant the clones into is there?

they do not feed on the humidity. u keep the humidity high so that the cuttings dont lose moisture through the leaves as it has no roots and cant take in any water to replace it.

thats called dwc (deep water culture) and it rocks all u need is a res i recommend 20l make sure its dark, a net pot for the top and airstones to keep it aerated and off you go.
