Clone looks good?

It's a really fuzzy pic with no detail. My guess is it won't make it as it is. The end of the stem needs to be in darkness and have plenty of oxygenated water. A little rooting hormone would be nice too.

Don't use metal cans is one suggestion, I've seen one guy that does it kinda like u but he just takes the clone and puts it in a beer bottle with just the tip of the stem in water like that but here this is how I do it and I almost always get roots, my problem is keeping em alive after I put em in soil!!! I put my clones in a plastic zip lock bag to increase the humidity levels while it is tryin to grow roots. Oh and with the roots needing darkness I found a cheap easy cloning medium, 50/50 mixture or perlite and vermiculite works well for me.

Since u asked about clones has anyone ever had this happen, or am I just a tard? I took a clone and it rooted but the stems all turned red. Now its in soil all the leaves died but I'm not sure if its dead cause I can see green at the base of the stem and it looks like it is spreading up from the roots. So is it totally dead?

deader than fried chicken unless you see any new growth out of the tops (check the nodes).

Clones need to be in soil or rockwool cubes and under a humidity dome for constant humidity, ( don't forget root homone ) they have no roots and take up h2o from their leaves, it's also good to have a heat mat under to keep them @ 75 to 80 deg. and yes it takes 7 to 14 days and somtimes longer to grow roots.
