Clone got roots torn off mostly.

I got one of my small mazar clones that had the roots mostly ripped off when a kid grabbed my plant and ripped it up.

Its in a water bottle right now and living but the roots aren't growing after 5 days in there.

I have cloned before by slicing the stem gently and just placing it in water but, for some reason this doesn't appear to be working. No root hormone applied.


Any ideas?

get root powder and scratch the stem before applying this will help
i know some of my clones dont need hormone and are willing to root in a week and other strains i have must have the hormone or they dont root

it is strange also if you try another clone scratch the bottom 1/4 -1/2 inch of the stem a little to rough up the surface before putting in water this helps probably 50% better result. another thing is a clone bubbler look it up in the GROWFAQ after i made one of these things i have had 100% clone rate. hopefully this helps future grows.

i am amazed at your situation. Perhaps if your crop is in danger of being "ripped up"...you should not be growing. Dunno mebe it was ur dog or something...good luck newho

I just checked on my clones and there were roots exploding out of the peat pellet. YEAH >=O

I have eight girlie girls now.

by the way the rooting hormone is fairly crucial. I have never tried without it, but i think its hard as hek. Go to lowes or what not and get $7 root hormone powder from garden section.
