clone disaster

so i had set several clones outside to vegetate, and when i went outside to check on them this morning, my vortex clone was ripped outa the dirt and dieing.

My lone vortex plant that wasnt a male is now a solid month into budding.. do i have to wait to re veg this plant to get another clone, or can i clone from it now?

ideas welcome, this is one strain i dont want to let go yet, and muphy's law is at work!

Disaster averted I believe, despite the pathetic shape of the clone when found it, it is recovering after replanting it. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
