Cleaning aerocloner

So going to clean my aerocloner tonite after 1st run with it that was a success. Was thinking of running 10mls bleach per/ 1 gal of water and run pump for 24 hrs. After run some h202 with water for a few hours then good to go. Sound right?

You need to disassemble the pump if you can and clean that thoroughly and also the sprayer jets too with pipe cleaners and soak as you suggest after.

Ok so a good scrub along with what I was planning on doing

just make sure the bleach is gone before you introduce peroxide.

Ya was going to scrub down in between and run plain tap for an hour or 2. I probably don't even need to run the h202 but wanted to make sure the bleach didn't leave a salty residue

Don't use a scourer or anything abrasive you don't wanna scratch the plastic up just use soft cloths and pipe cleaners

When not in use I store my aerocloner with bleach water and the inserts soaking in the water, I prefer the soft inserts and it keeps them from shrinking/drying out

Ya I have the aerocloner running with water and bleach in it right now. I cleaned the collars and put them in their slots with the the cloner on for 24 hrs to give it an extra clean.

Blue scrub pads aren't abrasive, but green ones are....just 2 minutes of contact with bleach will kill 98% of what's in there. Put it all together and run plain water for a few minutes and good to go....been using that system for years now....

I have been using aero-cloners for 20 plus years and have never needed to use bleach or anything else. I just use dish detergent and wash it well. After about 240 cycles at like 95% success rate (yeah pumps die sometimes, timers etc) I never had a problem. KISS
