Cleaning a Grinder

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas on the best way to clean a grinder. I was thinking of letting it sit in boiling hot water, or letting it soak in rubbing alcohol for twenty four hours. Anyone got any ideas or advice?

yea i would boil it...thats the best way to clean a glass pipe or stem. not sure about the alcohol tho

Rubbing alcohol and salt should do the trick. Never tried it on my grinder(haven't had to yet), but works great for pipes and bongs.

I would use that 420 cleaner stuff.. its amazing.. gets everything off with ease! but yea in tough times I boil.... its also effective..

If it's metal, acetone will rip everything off it - I mean everything (it's a perfect solvent for THC and other resins, so it all falls away like sugar in a cup of coffee). When I ran out of green one time I rinsed mine with acetone really well, then poured the solvent over the tobacco from an emptied out cigarette and evaporated it, leaving the goodness behind. It was fairly strong! Not one to try if you don't have high purity acetone (99%+). Do not try smoking things extracted with nail polish remover. Hot water and soap will work, but you'll need to give it a bit of a scrub if it's caked on. If you miss out the soap, you can drink the 'relaxing tea' that results. Acetone will get it out of every single microscopic crack if you let it sit in some for a while and give it a shake. It will dissolve the plastic ones though, so remove any plastic rings from it if it's metal and avoid getting it on the logo if it has one painted on (it won't hurt it if the logo is anodized). -if you like my reply and use HID lamps, please vote in my bulb poll (sig)-

-alcohol
-course salt

to clean a BONG, poor a few oz in a bong and a tsp of salt swish around, watch resin come right off

to clean a small pipe or grinder, poor a few oz of alchahol in a tupaware with a lid add salt. try to get salt inside the pipe, close lid and swish gently

the alcohol breaks down the resign and the salt helps scrub,

if it is metal, i would recommend scraping it.. that is what i did.. scraping it yielded a nice chunk of compact kief.. if you opt to soak it in alcohol or something, do it and let the alcohol evaporate so you at least get something usable out of it. hate seeing usable stuff going to waste..

i second this works for all my pipes bongs and grinders i just put salt in alcohol in them and shake

I go to the DOLLAR STORE and buy this stuff called AWSOME ORANGE CLEANER. It is safe for your hands, the environment and it really works. Best of all, It cost a dollar !
