Claw tips + new grow with yellow tips

Hi all,

I think I have a nitrogen toxicity going on by the look of the leaves so I stopped my veg nutrients once I noticed that.

Now the new grow is coming with yellow neon tips.

I am still not planning to add any nutrients but would like to know your thoughts in terms of what can I do except for watering.

The plant is one month old, veg was 24h light and flipped to 12h less than a week ago. I have a feeling that the flowering is not happening as it should due to the toxicity. I assume I should not feed the bloom as long as the symptoms are showing in the new grow.

Thanks,

Yep, nitrogen toxicity. Stop the nitrogen nutrient but continue with the bloom. You don't want to deprive the plant now. Do you plan on defoliating at day 21?

Thanks for confirming my suspicion. I am just worried to start the bloom because it also contains nitrogen but in smaller amounts.

Last time I fed was on the 14 of September, since then only water, but at some point I will need to feed the bloom even though the nitrogen abundance seems to be there still.

The veg nutrient is a 3-1-3 and the bloom 2-2-4, I only dosed as per instruction in the bottle but on the heavier side so will maybe do 1/2 of the max dosage when starting the bloom nutrient.

Most of the plant is receiving light at this point so no need to defoliate now I think.

That seems very weak. Like some shit you would feed to a cactus. Did you maybe use too much or something ? Just seems odd

The nutrient is terra grow and terra bloom from plagron. Max dosage is 5 ml per L. I used the max dosage.

That does seem abit high to feed, most liquid nutes I see are typically 2-8ml per gallon depending on stage of growth.

It would do you well to invest in a cheap PPM or EC reader, that tells you how strong your nutrient water is after you mix up a batch.

I just use Fox Farms at 1/2 strength. I noticed this last weekend a bit of nuts burn and watered heavily and then added this stuff called Sledgehammer that is supposed to further flush them out. Sometimes I have a few drinks when watering the girls and get a lil heavy handed with the nutes. Not much just a tiny bit more than I normally would which can ruin everything

You are absolutely right. I need to be more scientific :)
