Clarification on a few things...

Hey guys. I'm currently engaged in a discussion regarding LED grow lights on a cannabis forum native to my country. The discussion is nice and sober, and everybody just wants to learn as much as possible. I have referred to this forum several times, but the language is a barrier for some.
Anyway, to my understanding, there is not much(if any) efficiency to gain by underdriving mono diodes as opposed to COB's. Is that actually so?
Does anyone here have some actual data on the Epileds that are currently being used in most of the newer generations of shit lights? How efficient are Epileds nowadays?
Please pitch in if you know :) Thanks in advance

Under driving all leds will lower efficiency.

We don't know the diodes and bins of any shit pannel to make calculations. They could be using stock from the 90s or newer. Hard to say when they give no info

I'm well aware, but thanks. Just looking for actual data to prove my points to people who think that Mars Hydro and equivalent lights are the most fantastic thing since chocolate cake... It's hard to educate some people :wall:

Most of those shit lights are 20-25% efficient. Far less then HPS & w/ terrible burple spectrums.
