Chocolope DNA smoke report

Hi all,

Once again from the autocultivation club grown in soil and organically. I remember hearing first about this strain when it won some prize in the cannabis cup quite a while back. This is from DNA Genetics a cross of Chocolate thai with Cannalope Haze.



The moment you lay your eyes on the bud you get impressed straight away they look like sativa buds with the indica swell. Actually these look like Cannalope buds swollen to the extreme. A lot! of trychomes for a sativa. Short orange hairs everywhere over the very faint green ball shaped buds. 9.5/10

This is an utter nostril pleaser. It smells like amazing smelling cannabis! Strong orangy chocolate hints of fresh pungency! Clears your nose big time! It smells very! sweet. You feel like eating it, it is quite a complex smell one you'll never forget. I had this for the first time in the summer of 2009 and i remembered it straight away after smelling it again now. 9/10

The smoke is very smooth and tingles your tongue. It tastes exactly like it smells - amazing! Tastes more on the exhale and leaves a sweet after taste that lingers in your mouth. It's hard to describe the exact taste but it's just a twin of the smell really. A definite winner! 9/10

This gave me an extreme head rush big time! I had it in a spliff but im really sure this will be like being pulled by your temples 100m in the air with a decent bong rip. Quite a head energizer after that crazy rush with a nice relaxed feeling as well. Not a very long lasting high IMO but a very happy heady one for sure. 8.5-9/10

Overall this really is an amazing strain!!! Especially considering its a sativa that was done in 10 weeks! Seriously impressed. What pleases me the most is its taste and smell really love it! Giving it a solid 9/10 overall. A very good sativa high!!
Let me add that this has to make an absolute killer kush cross! I think the right well balanced combination of both tastes has to be one of the best cannabis tastes in the world if the right pheno is found. DNA has a cross of this and Kosher Kush. Doesnt anyone else think the same?? Has anyone had a go at it?

I wondered so much what it'd be like on a decent bong I had to get one! It's been a very time since i've looked at bongs and fuck me haven't they changed! I had to do 2 days of research before reaching a decision I though I'd share my conclusions with you in this post.
First thing i noticed really is that bongs shouldnt be made of any other material than high quality glass.
Apparently a lot of companies sell glass bongs a but not all glass bongs are made from borosilicate glass. Now there different ways of producing borosilicate glass however no matter how high quality the result it DOES NOT justify the ridiculous prices some brands charge for their glass. Borosilicate glass in it of itself has already an extremely high quality, sturdiness and resists HIGH temperatures.
In broadstrokes. There's Stem and Stemless bongs, the latter having more design variety. Stemless bongs seem to be better IMO since they get the inside of the bong less dirty. In terms of smoke difusion it also seems that Stemless bongs offer designs that difuse the smoke better unless using a perfurated dowstem in a stem bong then it can be debatable which system difuses better.
There are all kinds of perculators in bongs with different shapes, designs and levels of perculator in a bong. The more bubbles they create the cooler and more filtered the smoke will get. Perculators can be a BITCH to clean so the design of the perculators themselves can/should be one that makes for easy cleaning. The more levels with perculators there are the more filtered and cooler the smoke will be (maximum i found has been 4 levels) Good bongs will have a splash guard on top of the last perculator level.
There are also all sorts of Pre coolers and Ash catchers one can get to attach to the bong as well. These work as a pre cooling system for the smoke and as an ashcatcher so you dont get all the disguting stuff in your actual bong, makes for much easier cleaning not to mention cooler and cleaner smoke. I think one of this is indispensable. Once again crazy amount of designs some look like sections of a bong, with perculators etc... You can combine them together as well like a puzzle though i wouldnt go too crazy or youll need a vacuum cleaner to help you rip it all. Also there are loads of bowls for just weed and bowls/attachements for extractions I've not explored much.

This said I found the designs of Weed Star very appealing with very good feedback about the web (including video of a guy twatting his bongs about and tossing it on the floor without breaking) and reasonable prices. So I decided on Weed Star's Big Black Perc (3 eight arm perculators plus splash guard and ice notches) with the Epic precooler and by mistake i also ordered a double ash catcher (only 15 euro though). Have I gone a bit nuts? Got it all from www.weed-star.com (I have NO affiliation with them. come on germans cutting the spanish in on profits? don't think so!)
