Chloramine tested in 2008 2.2 (ND - 3.5)

the 2.2 (ND - 3.5) is supposed to be the levels of chloramine in my tap water. i know ND means not detected.

that reading was for my city.

here is the reading for the county. the "main system"

Chloramines (ppm) MRDL=4 MRDLG=4 MRDL=4 tested in '05 2.4 (1.9 - 2.9)

is this too much for my plant?

I have heard that 3ppm is enough to really screw up your plants. not sure how bad 2ppm is..maybe you can try it out on 1 plant and see if it does anything.

I'm too old to be a pot smoker anymore- but this came in a Google alert the the word "chloramine" in it. PPM means parts per million. You also may see chloramine measured in tap water by milligrams per liter (mg/L), too. Mg/L is roughly the same as PPM. 2ppm = 2 mg/L. Interesting to hear that 3ppm will mess with pot plants. The EPA allows 4PPM chloramine in tap water. Chloramine in levels typically used in tap water messes with many species of plants. Chloramine is made of chlorine and amonia. It's making a LOT of people all over the USA sick, not to mention plants. To learn more got to our website vce.org/chloramine or the CA citizen website: chloramine.org. Hey if it kills your plants what do you thinkmit's doing to you?

um chlorine and chloramine are found in processed tap water. they are bad for plants. hell they are bad for fish in a fish tank. im doing hydro so water is very important to me. I went to a petstore and bought a water additive that removes chlorine and chloramine and ammonia. cheap, like 5 bucks.
