Chicken shit - how much is too much?

hey guys,
i have this evidence this year that my gardens love fertilizing at planting time - one garden received one bag of chicken manure - the other got two and those plants are twice the size of the one baggers..

so, my question is how much is the right amount?

I've heard that you can go up to about a third but just make sure it's nowhere near fresh. It has to be dried, crusty old chicken shit.

well - it sounds like 3 might be better and not too much.. thanks!
i don't know what other people do to their gardens - i have heard of using large amounts of guano, etc.. i don't want to overfeed..

It's pretty hard to take it OUT, so I'd build up gradually. Till in the 2 bags, and start top dressing a little bit at a time until you start browning the tips.

interesting advice.. so you would say that more is better.. ok.. i will start with 2.. it seems like a good plan..

He didn't say that at all. More is better until you have too much, then you're screwed. Like he said, it's hard to take out.

If 2 bags didn't burn, good. Start there and slowly add more and give enough time between applications to see results. Organics aren't like chems and it could easily be a couple of weeks before you see anything. Go slow.

i would use the chicken shit in teaform.... chickenshit is poewerfull stuff.. only thing i can think off off top my head stronger is rabbit shit... has stated make sure the shit is fully composted

as odd as it sounds, chicken shit tea is probably the safest way to go, that way you can see how 'dark' it is and you can measure (more) how much your adding.
