bongsmilieSo a friend of mine has recently informed me that chicken poop is the way to go when fertilizing your precious instruments of sanity organically. I'd like to know any other opinions or is his simply the best. Anyone have any ideas?

JohnnyDaGrower.... Composted Chicken Manure is a great fertilizer. Never use it fresh from the chicken, it's very rich (super soluble) in Nitrogen and can burn your plants easily.

Read - Making Tea is EZ & Cheap for lot's of info on - making and using cheap - Organic teas for your primary fertilizer.

Hope this helps..

I was told to let it sit in water for a day or 2 and when the water turns a light tinted brown to strain the other poop particles out and use the water. I hope it works.

compost it till broken down like any other thing, so a month or so in the summer, winter depending on where you live you may be sol., anything less and its way to hot.

Compost it - or be ready for the burn..... brown, crusted edges on your leaves - crumbling off your plant - inviting trouble.
.
When you compost it, just mix it with some Oak Tree leaves, or grass clippings or vegetable waste from the kitchen. If you turn the compost often (every three days) it can be ready in just 15 days.
