Rod Blagojevich, Governor of IL.
Rod's father in-law, Richard Mell is a shot-caller here in IL.
Mell, a long time crony of the Daley machine(mayor daley)is the reason why Rod is the Governor today. Mell is a power player only behind the sceens and isn't much of a media guy. In fact, most people really didn't know who he was intill after Rod became Governor. Rod, for whatever personal reason became a whistleblower to his own father in-law. Yep, Mell in the spot light. It's became very ugly, very fast, on both sides. Even Blagojevich's lieutenant governor, Pat Quinn sided with Mell. The IL house also sided with Mell and then the media sided with Mell.I only say sided it Mell, because it became an all out attack against Rod. Mell is a life time chicago insider, in short, he's a crook and was exposed as such, thanks to Rod. Rod's approval rating sunk like a ship in the comming months. The media attacking, the IL rep's on the attack, leading the charge is Rahm Emanuel. Clinton insider and now obamas henchmen. This attack led voters to question Rob as Governor. Then it went from questioning if Rob was the right man for the job, to impeachment talks with the media pushing hard. Then the subject of rewriting the IL constitution, based on kicking Rod out of office. This would have cost 8 million dollars on an already under founded state, like all safe haven citys. The bill didn't pass, came up just short. The chicago FBI has been building a case against Rod for "hiring kickbacks" linking him to names like Tony Rezko.I hear that indictments are on there way with the result of a two-year FBI investigation.
..Not the east cost or west cost as chicago style politics.

This machine dog walked the Clinton brand without a problem.
I only hope Obama's picks are more outside the realm, then Rahm Emanuel.
