Hey guys I'm about to harvest my 1st plant ever and I have a few more generations vegging/flowering. I want to get into using CO2 but I don't know enough about it. a few questions for the experts

1. I grow in my bedroom is this a no no for using CO2 (this sounds like it's the worst question in the world.)

2. I live in a major city. Would it help to just open my window for a few hours each day?

3. If i can use co2 in my bedroom is there a cheap way of deploying it? I have a 2' x 3' x 6' cab and some smaller boxes that I veg in.

Thanks for all your help!! this site is sooo much better than IC

Hi there, I mix 3/4 cup sugar, 6 cups water and a pinch of yeast (roughly 1 teaspoon does the trick) into a 2litre plastic bottle(u can go bigger than this if you desire). The exact ratio of ingredients is not critical. For example, I use enough water to fill the bottle to about 3 inches from the top. You don't want to get the mixture too full, as the mixture may foam a bit, and you don't want the foam flowing onto your floor.
Using the above mixture, I regularly get 3-5 days of strong CO2 production, at a rate of one bubble every 3-7 seconds. When the system stops bubbling (the drop in gas production is often precipitous), dump out everything and mix up a new concoction, its that easy.
Hope this helps?

most cost effective method right there if you dont want to drop hundreds into c02 regulating equipment, like most of us :weed:

"how to make co2 generator" is what you type in the search bar. alot of people will say you have to have 1500 ppm for it to be effective, but im using one like you will see anyway. i believe any is better then none at all. i placed the outlet above my fan to have it blown throughout the room. just like slimjim says

I'd still give thought to getting a real CO2 setup. You can get a tank for less than $100 and to fill it where I'm at is around $12 for any size up to a 20 pound tank. Probably get a cheap regulator for $30 but one with an electric solenoid is going to be what costs. You'd probably be alright just letting it out at a slow rate 24/7 if you didn't want to spend the money on the solenoid, connect a cheap regulator to a needle valve out 1/4" tubing.

If anyone asks you are setting up a Soda fountain in your home or a Calcium reactor for your salt water aquarium.
