Cheap Ebay COB build

I am looking to build a cheap cob setup with parts I can get off ebay, until I can afford to take the plunge on a good setup. I am doing this because I was told this 1200 watt Kingled would not be enough when my plants are ready to flower, and I want them to have as much light as they will need to produce best possible bud.

At first this will compliment my Kingled 1200 watt, then I will go to a more sophisticated setup in the future.

This is not, however, a permanent solution. This is just so I can try to salvage this grow and get the parts to build it before my plants are ready for flower around late Nov.-early Dec. With these prices I can get the COB for around $3 and the heatsink around $2. With the cost around $5-6 per COB. I estimate around 8 cobs will be needed for a grand total of around $40-$50 total.

This is the COB I am looking at it is the 50w 110v Full Spectrum

and this is the heatsink I am looking at using per COB. It is around 4" x 1.5" x 3/8

I fully realize these ebay COBs may not be as reliable as the Crees and Citizens, but with this system being as modular as I plan to build it, if a COB burns out I can simply unhook it from the loop and not disturb the others until I can solder a new COB On.

This light will be used in a 5x5x8 tent.

Thoughts?

I have since gave up on this build as for what it will cost to get the heatsink, I could throw a few extra dollars in and get a prebuilt light with the cobs I was going to use anyway. This is still not, however, a permanent solution. I like the lumens per watt you can get with the samsung strips and will be acquiring those as I can afford them.

If interested I have 30 or so vero 29 gen 7s C's with holders/reflectors for sale, 1 year old, all work great. no heatsinks though. Ohh also have a handful of meanwell drivers to power them.

Thanks for the offer, but I just bought 6 QBs as the heatsinks for those are way cheaper.

Are the drivers still available? If so, what model/s?
