Cheap drivers for Bridgelux EB series!

At 19.5 volts, a Dell laptop supply is a great constant voltage supply for 280mm and 560mm EB's.

Cheap 1500ma drivers from fleabay/amazon will power two 560mm strips or four of the 280mm.
30w of efficient strip light for around $20 USD! Note: Wire in parallel.

I have an 4x EB strip set up for cloning, though I went for 60w driver and feel its way too much for a little tray of clones so im going to have to dig in my draw of shite and check what old laptop power supplies I have, I'm sure one is a dell.

Yeah, I thought it's great for micro grows and supplemental, or even budget builds. What driver is that 60w? FWIW, 19.5 is a common laptop voltage these days.

Its a hlg 60h-48 with 4 strips wired series parallel but now im thinking about it im not even sure why i got the 48v.
Yeah too much light, i had to remove the shelves in my clone cupboard to keep it a fair distance.
I must of got it on an offer because normally i would have dimming options.

I just looked and i have a 20v power supply but putting out 3.25amps so i would still be at the same range.

How do those dimmers you linked work? Just wire in your possitive and negative into it and same out to the strips?

Yes, they go between the power source and LED.

Nice, i will get one ordered and use the power supply. Then i can use the HLG for what i think i bought it for, 48v cree J series, maybe for a bit of side lighting.
