Yeah, my water was so bad I have to use the softener plus the RO plus the DI. My buddy has the same well geology and his Manganese was 100x the EPA limit, so I expect mine is the same. The softener helped reduce it and the iron content big time (I saw the before and after lab results) as well as swapping calcium carbonate and lime/mag for sodium. In my case it wasn't enough though and I needed the DI post RO, so you might be in a similar situation, hope not for your sake.
Well good to know either way and nice to talk to someone with experience on the issue, I at least have a game plan now. Took me a while to start thinking water may be my issue. But I tackled damn near everything else, so was nothing much left it could be.

I do aeroponics in 5gal buckets and have been for 15 years. I'm positive it's none of those things.
oh believe me..
you can become stuck in your ways over time trying new things and may forget the way it was supposed to work

just sayin..

you can still over water and have a cold root mass.
Are you using any additives besides just reg nutes?
when are you seeing your issues start... Third week of bud by chance?

Ya I certainly could believe that, but I'm certain that's not the case here.

No additives beside regular nutes. I even went with 2 different kind of nutes because I did question the nutes at one time.

The issues start immediately when I move the plants from veg(inside my house) to flower(out in the shop).

My temps are good and my ph is good. I just mentioned that because that's usually the next questions people ask me lol. I really think I've got everything narrowed down other than possible water issue or bunk seeds. I kinda doubt it's the seeds though but won't rule out the possibility. Only thing left really is the water.

they go from indoors to outdoors..just like that? ............not over time with little bits of direct sun?
May be just the shock of direct sun ....

No it's all indoors. From my house basement(veg), to the shop(flower).

They do grow well in veg, however my house does have a water softener.

You could be right, it might not be the water but I really can't think of anything else it could be at this point(other than maybe bunk seeds perhaps). Process of elimination has me at the questioning water point.

The more we talk about it and the more I think about it, the more I think a water softener might do the trick. My veg plants that receive the water softener stuff(and than run through r/o) are all healthy as fuck. My problems start immediately when I take them out to the shop where they receive the hard water(no water softener) even though the water is run through r/o.

or maybe even buy a long water hose to run from the house to the shop. Hmmm.

Totally gonna do that. Good suggestion gb, thx dude.
