Cheap Alternative For Ph Probe Storage?

As much as I use my meter, I am slamming through the storage fluid. Is there another alternative I could use that is readliy available?

what kind of PH meter do you have? Mine did not say anything about storage fluid. Am I doing something wrong? it is a UltraBasic Phtestr, all it says.

I have a Hanna pH/temp probe. The glass electrode itself has to be stored in fluid....and it states not to store it in water...at least on the Hanna's.

I Have two meters,one milwankee Ph51 and a checker by Hanna.Both of mind say to not to let the probe dry out.I just put a little in the cap and store it upright.A 8oz bottle has lasted me over 8 months now.Milwankee says to clean it with distilled water and before the first use to soak it in distilled water for 2 hours before uses.Peace
