Chain of unfortunate events

First i'd just like to say, this has been my first grow, and any problems or worry's i have had, this forum has saved my ass. i'm fortunate to have such experienced people just a few finger clicks away.

Alrighty, my problem at hand:
a few days ago, i woke up and noticed what i assumed to be spider mites on one of my beauties that has been flowering in my closet for 5 weeks, under tube flouro's. they were just starting to lay down webbing, and specs forming on my leaves. so i quickly ran to buy some spider mite spray for plants, except i made the mistake of spraying the plant down when the lights were still on. and within an hour or 2 afterwards, half the pistils on the very top buds began to brown/orange. i assume this is a case of burned pistils....my question is, is there anything i should be doing about this? remove buds? spray it down with neem oil? or do i just let it ride out and pray for the best?

I heard this recently but i havent heard a response yet. Does the spray say not to use it with the lights on? or were you told that?

You are supposed to avoid spraying anything on plants during flowering stage because of mold/humidity issues, and if the lights are on, it can cause burning to the pistils...At least that is what a few threads on this forum lead me to believe

So is this going to cause any stunted growth, reduced potency, bud rot? i dont have too many other sources of info, so if someone here could clear things up for me, i'd be plenty thankful :D
