cfl's

If the package did not say...

Most bulbs will say on the ballast (white plastic between bulb and screw/plug in) what the kelvin is...

5000k 6500k 2700k ect...

If not on the ballast i usually do not buy them kuz i know i will forget witch is witch... =]

Some manufacturers will list the K tems for each type online so check there too...

Oh ya higher temps (6500k) for veg lower (2700k) for flower but you knew that right... ??

What brand name sells cfl's with higher temps, the ones I have now are general electric and put out 2700k but I'm looking for veg lights and I've checked thier site all thier cfl's are 2700k

keep the ones u have and go buy some florecent lights. The combo of both will be good for the veg stage.

they are soft white lights. I assumed these were the right ones for veg as my other choice was warm white.

nooooooooo!!!!! the soft white has a red spectrum, and the daylight cfls have the blue. cool white is also blue

hey guys I added these to my grow because I don't want to spend 200 dollars on extra veg lights ( I know I sound cheap but for that price I might as well just buy a mh light)
can anyone give me some brand names that make daylight cfl's or cool white cfl's because I need to replace these asap and all the ones at my local hardware stores are only 2700k.
