CFls, one plant

Hi, I have a tent and 400W mh/hps convertable ballast and all that, but its used for my flowering right now.
I have some seeds I want to start though that my brother gave me, and since i'm moving after I harvest I figured if I had this plant already ready to get clones taken from her when I move, i'll cut atleast 2 months off waiting for these seeds to sprout after I move.

anyways, what should I buy, like I said.. i only need lights for veg.
i'm planning on going to home depot to pick everything up.. and price really isn't a matter I just don't want to go waste money on T5's for a single plant.

And I have read the CFL tutorial thread, but things like that are just FAQ shit and don't really elaborate. any help would be great thanks.

i would go with 4 27 watt cfls they're either 6000k or 5100k i forgot but i am using and they work wonders i got mine and costco cus they're way cheaper there but home depot has them as well.

for vegging you want the daylight spectrum or around 5000k in the highest ACTUAL wattage NOT equivalent that u can find. say a 27 actual 100 equivalent as mentioned before. u do not want the ones around 2600k. get 2 or more of them.

if u need to make a makeshift fixture they have light sockets to plug (part that goes into wall socket) adapters. they also have a single light adapter to y adapter. get one of each. they are with the outlets and switches at lowes for me.

it is better to have more little watts then bigger.. so that is false to an extent. example: its better to have 8 27 watters then 4 68 watters.
