CFL Vs. HPS light for vegging

My seedlings are about a week old now. I was wondering if I would get faster and healthier growth using my 150W HPS light vs. the 3 42w CFL's I have on my 4 Plants. I am looking to get these things ready to flower as soon as possible without stressing out the plants. Any input?

Dwill: I think it depends a lot on what scale you're intending to grow on. I'm strictly a personal grower, less than six plants for my meds and I'm in no hurry. I use T-5 fluorescent lighting from seed sprouting through harvest and it's worked well for me. They burn cool and cheap and frankly that's good enough for me. If you're considering CFL's you might want to take a look at SeeMoreBuds' book, "MARIJUANA BUDS FOR LESS- GROW 8 0Z FOR LESS THAN $100." He illustrates his grow with only CFL's and it's pretty impressive. If you decide to try T-5's just make sure you get a fixture big enough to completely cover your grow. I also grow for personal use only. No more than 5 or 6 plants also. I will buy a T5 fluorescent fixture. How many watts do you think I need to sustain 5 plants. I am a closet grower so plants will not be getting tall, just bushy.
