CFL Tupperware Stelth grow box

Hey there, This is part of my first grow. I am planting tomorrow and I look forward to it.

Setup: Right here I've got a tupperware box that I found in my basement. I've cut a hole in the bottom and placed it right in front of my AC Vent. (There is my nice cool intake.) My exhaust fan is going to be placed in-front of my box when it's open during the day. My box will most likely always stay open except at night so my grow can have darkness.
I'm buying a windshield visor to cover the inside tomorrow.

I haven't decided if I want to cut another hole in the box for a exhaust fan. If people come in and see a hole in my box with a fan in it they'll probably ask what's up.

Lighting: Right now I have two 42Watt CFL's 2700 lumens. (2700 lumens is all they had) I have a 6500k
26 watt
bulb coming in the mail but I don't know if it will be here by Tomorrow. So to total it up, I have 11900 lumens.
I hope this is good enough for at least one plant.

Nutes: Jack's Orchid Special and Blossom Booster

Soil: Fox Farms Ocean Forest.

I'm excited. Post back if you'd like with any info or criticism. I would love to hear everyone's opinion and suggestions. I look forward to hearing from everyone and having future discussions.

Temps stay down for the most part so I'm not as worried about a fire as much as before. Today I covered the walls in windshield visor (looks even more profesh than the vent hole) and planted one seed. I'll post pics in a few days when it sprouts.

Definitely not a fire hazard.

CFLs under 50w can't even melt styrofoam, so you are good. The only hazard that indoor growing presents that most people don't think about is the wires. Most outlets in a house aren't GFCI (aside from the bathroom and kitchen) so if you somehow had a cord end in your hand and let it go into some water you would be shocked to shit with 110V.... where as a GFCI outlet would trip before you really got zapped.

and people don't know it, but 110V is the most dangerous voltage out there...

Ha, yeah. I've been shocked before by either a outlet or some other electronic, I can't remember but I do remember it sucked.

220v and above shock you, and blow you away.... 110v, on the other hand, shock you and hold on to you and continue shocking you.... that's how hearts stop.

I bought a GFCI from home depot and replaced on of my plugs with it for added security - all of my grow lights and fans run off that one plug. If I for some reason poured water on my fan or some other idiotic thing that GFCI plus might save my life haha. I don't use anything else on that circuit since there are so many amps being pulled already. :P

The other has now sprouted and only has one, Which is folding over and turning into two. I would take pics but my camera is not working.

Temps in box are highs of 85 and at night lows of 73.2 or so.

DUDE, I just stuck my thumb in the middle socket thinking the it wasn't on since there wasn't a light bulb in it and holy shit.... Fuck that's a rush... Jesus....

EDIT... Don't smoke and play with sockets.

K, time for some pics. Also, one of the plants was knocked over by a buddy of mine while setting up the new box (Oh yeah.. I got a new box.) so I put in my mutant plant in it's place. ... Enjoy!

Well, I had a nute burn on my mutant today so I went to flush.... It was messy.

When I was pouring the water in, there wasn't enough holes in the bottom of my one gallon pot. So the water sorta over flowed. In the middle of the flush I had to take a knife and cut more holes in the bottom. Plus my knife blade which is about four inches went all the way into the bottom of the pot. So I don't know if I may have hit the plant's root system.

I'll keep you updated on her health in the coming days. I hope all turns out well.....

Well it's been about 9 hours since the flush and so far so good. She kinda looks even better now. I'm not gonna call the flush a success yet, for fear of jinxing it. I'll post back tomorrow morning at around 7:00.

Today I zip tied a fan to the top of the inside of the box, right over the bulbs so the the heat rises and the get's blown out. Pic's coming soon, They are in night mode right now.

I also have two 26 watt 6500k Bulbs coming in the mail. I'll add those on the right side of the box and then my box will really start to take off, Giving me 18,400k and 136Watts. I also might add on another 2 42watt 6500k bulbs on the left side of the box later.

My temps are staying down due to the ac vent intake. My new exhaust fan should also help a lot. It got down to the lowest I've seen today. 69.9F. Crazy. I'm use to seeing 86-87, then again I'm used to Vegging with an HPS in a small room.

K, I'm going to sleep for a couple hours. Pics in the morning!!

Welp, my cam is on the fritz again. They are both looking good. My mutant is starting to really smell. :D :D :D
She's top heavy do to her bush style of growth. I had to put chop sticks on both sides her stem. She's fine now. I'll try not to move her much. The flush went great by the way. I also noticed a brown spot at the tip of one of her leaves today. Hoping it was a burn, I moved her down a lil. If it spreads I'll be sure to let you know.

The bagseeds's leaves are coming in nicely. It's been 7 days since it sprouted now for the bag seed and she's doing great. :)

IMHHO put the lights closer to them.

I did like the day I posted that pic. I just lowered them though cause they both have tiny burn spots on em. :( they'll be okay though. A little stress is good for em. lol

Pics!!!!

Think I moved them to far? I just didn't want the burn to get worse..
