I am adding side lighting to my space and was wondering if it would be safe to hook up one of these:http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100170446 into a shitty 2 pronged extension cord taped along the side wall of growspace(1 on each side) and screw these into it:http://www.homedepot.com/Lighting-Fans-Light-Bulbs-Compact-Tube-Fluorescents-Compact-Fluorescents/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xh8Zbmg1/R-100677481/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 all help appreciated +rep thanks

No I can't see anything wrong with that, I would probably get it off the wall, though it wont get hot enough to catch it on fire, it prob be more effective pointing to the middle with maybe mylar wall behind it.

I literally have 8 of these lights currently in a tiny cabinet for my seedlings. no sweat. temp stays at 78-83 mostly

If you are using less than a 400watt HID system I have something that may help. It is designed for people using low watt lights. PM me if your interested. Adding lighting is always a good idea if you can control the heat.

The links broke right now, but optimal kelvins should be 6500k-veg and 2700k-flower

Side note:I didn't find any 6500k at homedepot. I had to get them at walmart at $12 per pair(26 watt)
