I have many CFL bulbs, and a pair of tubed CFL's. my question is: is it okay to mix color temp lights on the same plant? Is it better to have all the lights on it?(to have as much light as possible) Ex: 3 6500K CFL's and 3 2700K CFL's on the same plant. Is it okay to mix color temps? Or should I only have the 6500K lights on the plant for vegetative.

please leave your suggestions!

Yes its ok to mix color temp bulbs. The more the better.Yes its ok to mix,its preferred among cfl growers. You just want more 6500k or 5000k for veg and more 2700k or 3000k for flowering(12/12).GL.

I use both spectrums and have not noticed any problems. I was worried at first that the day spectrum during flowering would cause my plants to stretch but I kept the bulbs inches away the whole time and it kept them short. I always used HPS in the past and the grow I have now is in a small box where heat would be an issue. I run 10/20 CFL and it only gets slightly warmer.

How many plants are you growing? You might be able to just use the 6500k blue bulbs while they are little keep the light on them close then as they get taller and flower add the 2700k red bulbs. You will need to raise the lights anyway and light will thin out. So adding the red bulbs later might work well if you are concerned with saving on the electric bill.

screw the electric bill! use as mant cfl's as you can! and yes its ok to mix them, i do! look at my grow , its my signature on here! good luck

Growing just one plant! It died actually after a transplant :(
Purchased new seeds yesterday from nirvana. Hoping those make it to me safe and sound! For now, this will give me time to re-arrange my setup and get the correct water, soil, and nutes.

Being fully prepared is the way to go. I've rushed things and botched enough put plenty of thought, planning and research into a new grow. Though things always change mid plan.

I used to work at a pet shop. Fish was my thing. I would always tell people it is important to know what kind of fish you want first. Then build a tank to suit it. Get the right size and equipment you need. Set it up and let it run and make sure everything is silky smooth. THEN add fish.

Same applies to grow rooms and plants.

As for transplants. Try superthrive. It helps with transplants (good for stress), rooting and getting vegetative growth started. Don't use during bloom though... Small bottles of it are fairly cheap. 8/9 bucks. Wont need a lot. Few drops.
