well i won't flower with cfls but this a other topic for now...

for veg you should keep them CLOSE;) i keep my in a range from 1/2" to max 2" to prevent stretching. with my first grows i finished the seedlings indoors with cfls before putting them outsides in the soil and on my first attempt i kept the lights to far of, about 4-5" if i recall it right and the stretched shit-less. i ended up with 4" single leave-set plants after a week, that is BAD!:( so learn from my mistake and keep them close, and watch out that they don't touch those bulb since this will burn them!! cfls get hot after an hour or so!

you present a good point lol. the title is the perfect google search terms lol.

but then again that would have been less work actually I think he just didnt think to search.

Plus I know I always have more confidence in what im doing it if I hear it from a couple of board members or read it in threads, than I do reading an article or something I found by searching google.

i thought of a google search, but as brokenhope says, i'd rather hear it from people who i seem to be pretty knowledgeable, rather than sifting through 10 shitty websites made up by 14 year olds.

beleive what u read over what random people say, 70% of what u hear is bull shit.

I wouldnt say 70%, you may get some bs responses but I dont always go off the first, usually someone will point out wrong info. Especially with things about the basics. you just go by the majority. your atleast getting info from people who your posting to and can get follow up questions answered... where as an article your left wondering, or sifting through google.
