Cfl ,hps ,questions

i have 2 tents same size . one has CFLs the other has a 250 watt HPS . My question is why plants in hps tent yellow much more rapidly than those in the CFL tent. i have started 2 plants same strain ,same time ,same nutes . those in the cfl tent are much greener and healthier looking .

why not put the plants for veg under the cfls and flower them with the hps?

could be hps to close are plants in veg ? if are should be using MH. HPS for flowering.

They are prob growing at a faster rate than the cfl tent, and you aren't quite keeping up with nutes. Can't say I have never heard of this problem because of light. Probably not the lights fault.

plants are both in flower . this is actually my buddies grow i use one tent all cfls with great results so im not changing a thing for me . but his end products both have been pretty good . his lights are 8 inches away from tops, temps are 86 degrees . they might be a little ahead of the cfl tent but not by much .. i was thinking lights in cfl tent are closer giving more penetration than the hps light . any thoughts on that

he does veg in another cfl tent then they go into either cfl flower tent or hps flower tent .

are his leafes dieing from the bottom of the plant at the same rate new leafs are growing on top?...if so his plants are self setting ( killing of the bottom to grow on top) due to lack of nuts....i think its called self setting.

or it might just be becuase his are maturing faster
