You'll need to solve the temp issues obviously, but the light needs to be closer. An hps of that size should only be about 6 in or even a little less above the canopy. You're losing out in the best light by having your plants too far away.
It is about 6'' from the top's man........ and is it nessasery to control heat issues? i mean if the plant dont burn up... then whats the problem?

THE UPDATE.....
Ok so its day 16... and my babys look pritty nice...

You can see the root hold they have established is pritty stable in the 4'' Pots....

See how compact they are. This is my most tall and stretched one out of 5
THE QUESTION's.....
I think i am ready to flower them sence all i have is a 150 watt hps..and theres 5

I know it is about time to transplant to bigger pots....but what size?

How long after transplanting can i switch them to 12/12 to start flowering?

What should the ph of the water be at when flowering?

Theres a garden shop around me...should i change from miracle grow soil??

Your desire to just add water and take it as easy as possible is kind of lazy. I think you'll need to get some nutes if you want to do this right. Subcool's soil takes a month to "cook" so it won't be ready soon enough, and I feel like MG products blow ass. I kind of wish that jack ass had never written that book because it has spawned a seemingly endless wave of would be lazy pot growers who show up on here wanting to grow "dank" for nothing. It just doesn't work that way.

Get some Roots, or Foxfarm ocean forest soil. Pick up some foxfarm big bud, some molasses, and a little B-1 and jump in.... we'll help you.

BTW, roots in the pics look a wee bit over-watered.

Thank you for your input...its not that im lazy...i dont have the knoladge yet to add nutes,,... i dont know how....This is my first grow in like 3 years... so im a little rusty....
I did over water them in the bigenning...causing the nute defincies...and the root problem....
I am looking for soils that add nuts over time...by watering them....will fox farm or any ones u suggested do that?....is there any good videos out there that teach you how to add nuts and when?
I am not looking for dank buds...fire weed..or great stuff.. i wouldent care if i got the shittyst bud in the world.. im not in it for sellin or anything...i am just tired of paying for my smoke....so as long as theses 5 plants grow buds and its over 2 ozs...im happy

I answered most of those questions for you a few days ago............you are choosing to ignore the advice you are asking for.

Really? Do you want couple shaky bags of shitty weed that tastes of chemicals and hay? With a little bit more effort you could do it right and have dank. It is really not that hard to go a few steps further.Get some better soil
Put in bigger pot
Give a week or two more veg then flip to 12/12

No need to worry about not being knowledgeable enough to add nutes. That is what this forum is for is to help you make all those decisions. If you go with no nutes in ANY commercial potting soil you are going to be disappointed, esp when you consider what could have been. If you want a water only situation you are really best looking at Sub's supersoil recipe that I posted a link to earlier in this thread. You are not going to find it in a commercial mix.

I try to make this clear.

I know it is about time to transplant to bigger pots....but what size? 3-5 gallon is best for soil with a light your size IMO.

How long after transplanting can i switch them to 12/12 to start flowering? Give them a week or two to get their roots stretched out in the new pots

What should the ph of the water be at when flowering? Same as veg

Theres a garden shop around me...should i change from miracle grow soil?? YES........Find out what they have then come back here and ask us which ones you should get .

Go to your local grow shop and get some bloom nutrients. Whatever you chose to get, we could help you. Don't read that book. Just listen to growers.

Also, it is not difficult to add nutes...AT ALL. If you can read the side of a bottle then you are set!
It essentially consists of adding the required amount(from side of label) of nutes to a gallon of water, then watering your plants with that water.

They should have a little test rod for soil ph at your grow shop. Water that sits at 8 is way too basic for cannabis. Look into some liquid ph down (acid) at the shop as well. You'll need the liquid ph kit but its cheap and easy to understand. 3 gallon smart pots kick ass.. you'll have good results there.

Keep asking questions here if you have them.. tell the garden store you're growing tomatoes.

If you only have a 150w HPS you should transplant into 2 or 3 gal containers today, let them root for a week or 2, and flower them. Buy real soil, not miracle grow, don't be cheap. You want to flower and crop these things as small as possible. 3 gallon buckets are what i would usually suggest, but 5 plants is a lot for 150hps. Are they fem seeds? If not you should throw them into 3 gal buckets, because you may only get 2 or 3 females out of the bunch.

Nutrients are a must, get a starter pack from technaflora, it has everything you need for 35 bucks. Everything. And it is fantastic. Get a PPM meter and PH meter if you can afford both or a combo, if not get at least the PPM meter and some test papers, they sell a cheap test kit, but it is only as accurate as your eye is for color.

They are not fem seeds......i should get three gallon pot's cause if only 2 become females, then i got more room for light penatration, witch meens bigger buds, witch meens more roots...right? i also have 6 20 watt 2400k cfls i was going to put evenly on each side of the hps light.....would that help? even be worth it? I have a soil ph meter i use to adjust the ph in the water. Do i need a PPM tester? isent that to test the "parts per million" of the nutrents in the water solution? i am looking to go the cheapest way i can... i am very limited on
money...i get alot of stuff from walmart...do they have anything i could use? i can get bigger pots from walmart wensday...i was thinkin about gittin 3 gallon plastic nursery pots...and i have a gaden stor close to me... what kinda soil's would you suggest ...they might have a few of the brands you might name there...or what about nutrents for blooming and vegging? remember i am limited to $
