I just bought some cfls and was wondering if they were good for doing a small grow, they put out 800 lumens

Yes...cfls can grow smoke..Google it...research it....watch you tube n see ppls grows n set ups to learn

Yes you can. I recommend you check out SeeMoreBuds CFL book."how to grow 1oz. Under 100" I think it's called, beginning to end cfl grow.
