CFL grow. Got some questions.

Yesterday I started the germination on my bag seeds and I am excited. The size of the box is 3.5'HX2.5'WX1.25'D. I am planning on 2 plants. Now I have 2 23W red and 2 23W blue spectrum bulbs that I will use until the plants get to about 7" tall, then they get a 42W red until they start flowering, at which point I will turn on another 8 23W red.

So, is this enough light? And could my plant be 7"s tall by 18 days?

Thanks.

i think this can help it was in the GrowFAQ

For anyone growing cannabis, it is pointless to buy a weak light. Given the option of 8w, 15w and 27w, you would be stupid not to buy the 27watt, as they are more or less the same price. Compare the lumen output of each of the bulbs, different 27w bulbs may have different lumen outputs (depending on the manufacturer) and as with everything, the more lumens the better.

Dove, How long have yours been growing? and how many days are you vegging? How tall are they?

I think I am going to buy a couple more 42W lights. I am going to need to build a carbon filter and maybe get a better fan. But my box is built and I am ready to go.

peace.

well i have about a month and half vegging i keeping them as mother thats why i havent induced flowering and there about 6 inches tall there short a bushy the way i like them i found out the closer you keep the cfl the shorter you plant will be

i have mine in a box that 60 inches long 30 inches deep and 40 inches high and its split into two one side for flowering and the other veggin for veg im using 4 45 watt 6500k cfls and theyre pushing 3200 lumens each and as for nutes i was going to use peters 20-20-20 but the guy at the hydro shop recommended greenleaves 2-1-3 and a bale of promix
