Hey mate,

From what ive learnt from the great people on here and on the IRC channel is that you need penetration and the right kelvins.

For flower, go 6400/6500k at the highest watt possible, 20w+.
If you cant get anything that powerful you'll need a few extra lights.

For veg go highest wattage at 2600K.

Good luck!

my budget is about...$0.02 so...yea... however im going to be sellin some of my old xbox and xbox 360 games to the gamestop up the street so i should get atleast 30 bucks have a small budget how much do they usually run?

if time isnt a concern i'd sell it on eBay before taking anything back to gamestop

well i prefer cash and carry over anything i dont really like messin with any paper trail unless its completely nesscary (such as getting a ballast for my 150W HPS bulb that i cant find ANYWHERE) besides i also have to get some new seeds because as seen with my other post this plant is about shot i think...gunna take alot to bounce back

Backwards bud.

6500k is for vegging (daylight)
2600k is for flowering.

2700-3000k(warm white range) is actually optimal for flowering(2700 is a bit low, 3000k is a tiny bit over). Over 5000k(full spectrum)-6500k(daylight) is fine too. 10,000k bulbs would be prime veggers, HUGE ~400nm spike(lower-end of of visible spectrum) with nearly no red(definitely not for flowering). You know those head-lights that are OBSCENELY bright white/bluish.. probably 8-10 thousand kelvin halogens.

I'd go with higher wattage CFLs... 23w minimum. 42w+ for flowering. 100-200 actual watts would be ideal for a small veg space(say: 2'x4' or 8 sq ft). Double that for flowering(so 25 watts/sq ft veg; 50 watts/sq ft flower). Just keep uhm close without burning the plant. 2cm-5cm is best(23-26w), increase slightly for higher wattage.

well i got this really weird mcgiver kinda light thing in there now got it posted in another post if you wanna take a look but it has both 14W's in it and btw im hunting REALLY REALLY small plants caus im only growin in a 13" x 14" x 3' box rofl

well i just threw in my 6500K 26W CFL...love the damn thing...caus...ITS FUCKING BLUE!!! HELL YES!!! lol sorry needed to get that outta the way...scrapped my lil rigged up light the damn 26W was too much weight and it slouched down beside the pot so it was just like the plant was in the shade so i put my old shade back in and we'll see what happens...im trust yall!
