just lay tarp or panda plastic over the floor
 
Its not goin to hurt anything unless ya have a huge grow goin on. You are goin to mess it up with soil,water and what ever so ya may want to cover it with plastic or something.
 
Buy a roll of thin sheet metal at a building supply. Look for the stuff used as cut-to-size flashing in with the gutter materials. Cut an inch overside, and bend up the edges, taping or caulking/sealing the corners. Line that with panda or plastic painters dropcloth, or whatever.

Linoleum scrap works well too, if you can find an installer that will give you some.
