IMHO the best way to do it is. Have passive intakes at the bottom on two sides, and two fans mounted on each side at the top, exhuasting the hotter air from the box. This will remove the heat, and draw in air from below, which is cooler. If you put a simple filter over your intakes, it will cut down on dust, and pests like gnats. Also lining your box with mylar or painting it white inside helps alot. If you paint it though, it needs to air for a couple of weeks before any plants go inside.
