Will carbonated water work as co2? If so should i just spray it on the leaves while the pants are in vegg stage? How ofen would i use this?

i honestly don't know if it will absorb thru the leaves, but I DO know that spraying opens up a whole new world of problems. like fungus, mold, spotting, leaf burn, bugs. I'd hold off on spraying when in veggie state.
anyone? will leaves suck up C02? I don;'t think so , because it is a gas and when you spray it on the gas dissipates but watering it with it may help. I use the (I know someone will get a big laugh out of this) sugar, yeast, water method of c02 input for my babies. I am a poor gorilla grower on a limited budget so I concocted a cut-off coke bottle, filled with water, 4 cups suger and 3 "active dry yeast" packets from my local shop mart, yeah it's ugly, but it smells just like warm beer! And it works for my 19 plants. oh, it costs about $5 and lasts for 3-4 weeks! it isn't the best but it beats nothing.

i tryed carbonated water a few years ago and diddnt see a huge difference.
lately i've been thinking about this same thing and think i will try it once more.
i think now i have a better understanding of the plant and maybe see something that before was too minimal to recognize.

you really can't see a difference by just watering with it one time. It needs to be continual for there to be a noticeable change. and this being my first major grow, I have no experience with my c02 setup as to if it works better than not using it. I just figured what the heck! can't hurt...

ok yes carbanated water works... better than a whole CO2 tank if your a newb or only have a few plants put right on the soil co2 floats up to the leaves use twice during veg and 1 a week after flowering starts and the week before it is done should be good work real well for me... or just put a bowl of baking soda in you grow space pour in a little vinegar and close it up for 30 min or so

if you go about 7mins into the movie he talks about bubbley water. I think that he is talkin about carbonated water. Looks to me this guy knows what he is doin. he gets a qp form 4 clones. He also use a co2 tank too tho.

thankyou faralos and yes when enough co2 is present it starts to carry upward. yes vinegar and baing soda produce co2 during the fizzing.. plus he should have a fan moving air around you can spay it onpour in the soil skip a hydro feeding water with that instead many thing you can do. loudblunts dont open your yap till you know your right

LOL, sorry. CO2 is heavier than oxygen. it sinks.
And as for the vinnegar and baking soda, that sounds horrid. go with a mix of sugar yeast and water. It even kind of smells like beer MMMMMMMMMM

Plz tell me how to do a sugar yeast water. would i just mix sugar and yeast and let water drip in it?

I would recomend finding a two litre plastic bottle and filling it with 3 tablespoons of active yeast. 2 cups water. and one cup sugar. Immediate CO2 at you r fingertips.....
Shake bottle every day for a burst of CO2,,,,,,,change solution when no more bubbles are present after the shake.

ill be going with this method too also ill be trying to make it as usefull as i can by makin a hole on top of the cap and fabericate a airline thats glued on top of the cap and lead the line around your plants makin tiny holes in the airline so i can keep the co2 jugs out of my room and once in a while shake those bottles to get a good burst............

Yes co2 is about 1.5 times as dense as air...so it does not float up. Personally I dont think the sugar yeats thing helps much, unless your grow area is very well eclosed and small. As for the air line thing, you would have to make sure it is a completely air tight connection. In the meantime save up for a co2 emitter, i think a setups like a few hundred bucks, and ive heard it increases yield by like 35%.

I read somewhere that plants that are CO2 enriched can be grown in a little hotter temps and be fine. Does anyone know if this is true. The hottest i get to is aboutt 88 89.
