How much does a carbon scrubber reduce CFM?
It depends how dense the scrubber is I use a fan that will exchange air in the room 2x a min and use a diy scrubber with carbon from fish filters
Does a carbon scrubber dampen the sound of a fan?
Yes and no it is kind of comparable to well have ya ever help something up againt the back of a fan and ya get that restricted air flow noise? Its similar to that
Does it keep light from escaping/entering?
Pretty much cause if you can see light through the filter then that is where the air is flowing through so in other words its rushing through holes in the carbon not swirling around the carbon
