Carbon Filters

ok so i have a carbon filter and a inline fan for it, i have read that you put the filter in the grow room and have the air sucked out of the room threw the filter....i was wondering if i just had the filter hooked up to the end of my exhaust duct if that would work the same way ???

fan--->ducting--->filter? I'm sure it would work, but wouldn't be as effective. They are designed to be put inside the space that needs ventilating. Most also have the prefilter attached to outside of the filter to prevent dust from entering the carbon or the fan. My canfan is inside my growspace and it works wonders.

I'm guessing you don't have the space? Can you mount on the wall or ceiling?
