Carbon Filter with Pictures

So this morning I received my carbon filter and to my shock was alot bigger and weighed more than I expected and had completely throw all my ideas of a compact grow box out of the window, my original box was going to be 850mm wide, 940mm height, 430mm depth. I want to know what size box or room would this filter be suitbale for, I am completely thrown as wanted something alot smaller. Any ideas anyone??? or should I just ebay this and make a DIY filter but are these any good???

You could scrub a pretty good sized room with that. Maybe 8'x8'x8'. What is the filter and inline fan rated for? This is usually expressed as cfm or cmm.

Can the fan be outside the case but attached by ducting connecting to the filter???

Absolutely, the more stuff (like ballasts) you can keep outside the room, the cooler it will be and the more room you will have. You can use rigid or flexible ducting depending on the run.
