Hey guys im pretty new to this indoor thing. I recently bought a carbon filter off of amazon and it seems like a pretty good quality filter however when i run it through the fan it came with i get carbon dust like everywhere! i just had to whipe my table off because of it, is there something i need to do to prevent this dust?

how you do have it setup ?

it should be Air -> filter-> duct-> light-> fan-> out the tent

I am using CFL's so i dont need the fan that the the filter came with for my light, i have a circulation fan in the box that i have blowing on them that keeps them cool enough, i have the filter connected directly to the fan where it is sucking air into the filter and the fan blows out the back of my box.

correct me if im wrong but if i did it that way wouldnt i have to have to filter on the outside of my box, if that is the case i dont really have the room for that im trying to keep both the fan and filter inside my box. i read somewhere that if you soak the carbon that it would prevent the dust does this sound familiar to you?

i havent read anything like that but i wouldnt want to soak anything and put it near electrical stuff. do you have a pic of this fan setup your talking about ?

Not right now but i can get one up tomorrow, i would take one now for you but my box is on its dark period at this time

Put some pantyhose where it exhausts out of your box. Or some other type of filtering material til it quits spitting dust.
