carbon filter impact on exhaust power

hi i've red that exhausting through a carbon filter makes you lose about 30% of your fan power. so if i make the fan pump directly the air and then expulse it through the room via the filter, it should lose less power ? thanks :blsmoke:

weather it is on the intake or exhaust side of the airflow for fan, It will degrade performance of the fan period.
