carbon filter best placement?

i have the 4 in carbon filter and fan combo and was wondering what the best to but in grow closet
should i put on vertical or horzantial?

above light or on side of it?

and should it be a certian amount of distance away from light cause my area is 3 wide 2 feet deep by 5 ft tall and would like to put in corner vertical which would be like 3- 4 inches from light when fully raised or i would like to put horzantial above light against roof and back wall which would be best way also
last question do you just use bungie crods to hold it or is there a better way? thank you

in the opposite and opposing corner from your intake ideally. It doesn't have to be there, but it's best there. As high up as you can get it as long as none of the surface area is covered by wall or something, ..that's where you want it. You can route the ducting anywhere you want if exhausting is an issue. It's going to stress your fan more, but you really won't tell that much of a difference unless you have a huge grow.

well the fan is rated for 170 cfm so in my closet that should be plenty i beleave it well be cooling my light also tho but only a few bends so i think it should be fine. is there a way to tell if you stressing fan i also bought a fan speed controller figured it could help.

the end im putting it on is opposite wall

so should it be vetical or horazontal so spelt that wrong lol and does it matter if carbon filter is close to air cooled hood i havent had it running yet still laying out how im gunna set it up just wondering if hood gets to hot to have within inches of carbon filter

No difference just as long as it is not obstructed by any walls or the ceiling...

just keep it on the ceiling so your not taking up any growing real estate I couldnt imagine why vert or horozontal would make a difference, especially if its on the ceiling, so go with horozontal so u can raise the lights higher without obstruction from the carbon scrubber. With a small area like that u could look into getting a low smell strain, mines about the same size, 2x2 though. i can keep a max of 24 lollipops in 1 gallon buckets, and i don't use any carbon filter, doesnt smell anywhere. i can leave the door wide open in my room and there isnt a detectable smell

really? i wouldnt of bought one then well i lready drilled/cut holes for it i guess ill have it when and if need it lol only going to grow 4 or 5 you grow from seed to flower with no veg is that what u mean lollipoping? im thinking od doing this also

just have to hook it all up now i am going to homw depot tommorow to get some plywood so i can build a seperate venting chamber to house fan ballast timeres fan controller temp humidty gage hi lo raise hangers ill post pics in about 45 mins or so off nearly finished homegrow closet i really like it!@!!
