CaptainCAVEMAN's side by side comparrison: Advanced Nutrients VS. Technaflora's BC

I recently switched from Advance Nutrients to Technaflora's BC line and thought I'd do a side by side comparison with whats left of the AN.

You can see where it will be taking place at https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/402972-captaincavemans-legal-perpetual-medicinal-cave.html

Pleaswe Note: I am NOT a scientist, I'm a guy who LOVES to grow weed. So this will be a visual comparrison, not a weighed/measured/statistified comparrison. Due to this comments are welcome however pointing out how I should be doing it is not.

OK so the info:

Strain: KiwiSkunk from KiwiSeeds

Veg Info: They were clones from feminised seeds, rooted in an EZ Cloner, then vegged for about 5-6 weeks (I don't keep track I just clone the next two going in flower) in 5 gallon smartpots. Here are the ladies pre-clone and trim-up

Here they are after cloning and lolli-popping(more will be done later, just done in 2-3 stages to reduce stress)
100_1869.jpgThe left will be Technaflora and the right will be Advanced Nutrients(the one with the orange stripe) There is no control plant.
Here's the nutrient lineup:

They were both vegged with the same stuff:

They were thirsty so I gave them 1\2 gallon each with 3ml of bushmaster because their predecessors stretched quite a bit. Hope it helps.

100_1863.jpgBC lineup
100_1866.jpgAN lineup...I know some are missing, but me being tired of buying all this shit is what made me change to BC.

OK so that's the basics. I am not a scientist but I will do everything I can to keep all things equal, like switching both of their positions with each other to try and limit enviromental factors. Constructive comments and banter is welcome. Plus rep for stopping by.

Here are the girls at day 2 flower. A bit frequent I suppose but i'm bored.

100_1927.jpgHere they are side by side. Advanced plant has orange stripe, and was larger to begin with. I switch the plants positions with each other every day to minimize any kind of environmental advantage. Of course they are already on different watering needs which makes this a pain in the ass, but I bet they both grow great. I bet AN is overpriced. I'm already seeing evidence in the Cave that BC is doing just fine or better....as well as being easier(fewer parts and add ons) it is cheaper. We'll see.

Here are the young ladies a few days later. The BC plant has already caught up with the AN plant size-wise, though I'm not reading anything into that yet.

Curious to see if AN comes out on top. I was using AN just their Organic Iguana Juice Grow and Bloom, well I ran out of bloom half way through and no where around here carries AN and I didn't have the time nor the money to order another bottle and now I'm using GO BioThrive Vegan Plant food Bloom nutes, but next time round I plan on going AN the whole way through, look good though man

Wow I did'nt realize it had been so long. Anyway here's where I'm at.

Theese plants aren't done yet, and Kiwiskunk seems to be an AWESOME strain, but so far I'd say the nutrients have had an identical effect.

Conclusion: In this cavemans opinion all marketed nutrients probably work and work well. I think if a company has come as far as to develop and professionally package and nationally (or even globally) market a product that it must work. I think the only difference is in how much it costs, how it is obtained (though some don't care about this), and how you use it. Those are the factors growers should be concerned with.

100_2216.jpgHere are the 2 Kiwiskunks just before harvest. They both seem to have yeilded about the same and the buds seem identical. Awesome bud too!

Hey there captain, I am using techniflora's nutes as well, I started with their RFS schedule and its been treating me pretty good on my first grow I think.

I wanted to PM this question to you not to pollute your thread but I am a newb hear as well as a newb grower but it wouldnt let me PM you with the amount of posts I have.

But I am nearing my first harvest, I'm at week 6 day 1 since the flip to be exact but the end is coming quick so I want to be prepared. Techniflora suggests for the final week that I run 2.5ml per gal of cal+ and 40ml per gal. of sugar daddy for the first 4 days and then straight PHed water the final 3 days of the last week. Now everything I have read about final flushing is that its always at least a weeks worth of water only. Some people recommend 2 weeks worth of water, others less, but none have used these nutes as well, I swear I have searched literally high and low to find someone with some actual experience with these nutes and you are it, LOL I havent found anyone that has gone all the way through with the entire nute program, or that posts about it anyhow .....

Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
