cap fan speed controller question

So I have the cap day/night fan controller

When I plug it in and set the temps the power button is green but the on button flickers on and off real fast yellow in all the other pics I have seen it is green . Also the fan barellly runs will that over heat my fan? It's a 6" can fan rho

Those are not designed for use with inline fans AKA Brushless fans. should return and get a varic controller or risk fire and dmage to ur fan. The CAP is made for squirrel cage types.

Aha I figured I immediately disconnected it I'd rather run full speed than burn up my fan lol

I use a Variac with a dual stat temp/humidity switch spliced into the line. It works great and allows me to have the fan kick off if the temps and humidity go below the levels I set.

Comeon, use a proper fitting inyour knockouts. :/ that's some scary wiring. Junction should be boxed....

a f-kup plug wouldn`t hurt in the open hole either.

Open hole is where the sensors are. The junction is boxed and bolted to the unit, but the pic is just while I was wiring it.
