Can't figure out the deficiency...

I have read about a lot of deficiencies, but I just can't seem to put my hand on what it exactly is and I wanted to know for suee before I do anything dumb.

1) Growing indoor
2) I water whenever the soil gets to be dry
3) Growing in Coco Coir
4) Vegetative stage I believe.

Picture of the bottom leaf where the signs of deficiency is present is attached to the thread.

Please if you can give me any information on what this exactly is please do :) Thanks!

You adding mag to that coco? Looks like that is a lower leaf. Mag deficiency will start on older leaves (bottom) and have brown spots. Can we see the whole plant?

Post pics of the whole plant visible in natural light. Also what have you been feeding and frequency...type of water, and watering frequency. Do you monitor ph? It's hard to say from one leaf....off the top of my head..it seems to be related to phosphorus..possibly magnesium as they work together for uptake.

Here is a picture of my whole plant.

I am also thinking magnesium. I have no magnesium in the coco that I know of as I thought I only need coco coir and perlite. I do monitor the PH at 6.3ish. I am currenctly using remo nutrients also if thay helps.

Oh boy.... too much to explain here. And coco is happy at 5.8ph. You need to do a little reading on what coco needs. Coco needs nutrients to provide for plants. By itself it has next to nothing. Start reading my friend.

My mistake, I do know coco has nothing in it, that is why I feed with remo nutrients, or are you saying I need more then just nutrients? Sorry im new, but may have mist a few things.

Coco needs calmag added. Read up on coco baseline.

Are you using RO water? Or tap?

You have a bit of ways to go in terms of reading, and coco can be a bit harder for new growers. As mentioned, start reading because there is alot to know! :) For now, ph should be a bit lower..but with regards to the problem at hand right now..new growth seems ok..that leaf seems to be dragging in the coco..maybe the water got on it and caused an issue..or it had an issue and is ok now? Not sure as again..new growth on top looks nice and green. I never heard of those nutes you are using, so i can't comment on that. You will need to get a bottle of cal-mag if growing in only coco, as at some point, you will run into an issue, especially magnesium related as you hit flowering.

I just recently bought this MagNifiCal from remo nutes and it seems to have magnesium in it, check.

Also I use about 1/4 - 2/4 of the recommended nutrient dosage.

Ok than. So you do add cal and mag. From that post you made it seem alll you used was coco and perlite guy lol.

Yeah my bad, I just started adding it a few days ago. Should I just continue the regular watering with a lower PH and same amount of nutes?

What’s the ppm your feeding? Are you adding calmag every watering with the nutes? The fact that you just started adding the calmag that may be why it has not spread to other leaves and the new growth looks good. I’d say keep doing what your doing and keep an eye on other leaves. But do yourself a favor, read up on coco as it is a little more involved than soil.

I will be reading more up on it ASAP. I am not sure what ppm is, I see it a lot but I just dont get it. I believe I feed 1.5ml per gallon.

Yes I am adding calmag to every watering same with nutes.

I find that site very helpfull! I Will do a bit more indepth reading. I appreciate the help and if the plant doesnt get better then I will be back :)
Educate yourself on what cec is..from there you will learn how elements behave with each other and the plant, it's a long road to understand it all, and you will still get into issues along the way, but to do it (grow) well, and know why things are going well or not well, it's best to learn it all lol. You can start here, helpful page....
